Unlocking the Key to Colour Harmony

Welcome to my free PDF world of colour harmony based on the theory of pigment families. So how does it work? Mixing a little of one colour into all of your colours on your palette will make them all sit in harmony together because they all share the common colour you chose to mix in. My chart takes this concept and focuses on a common pigment. For example, Yellow oxide (often called yellow ochre) means you have 8 colours (Antique white, Aust. Ghost gum, Unbleached titanium, Naples yellow light, Yellow oxide, Transparent yellow oxide, Aust. sienna and Skin tone Mid), instantly at your disposal, straight from the tube that will sit in harmony together. Then you can take any other colour and mix it with even the smallest amount of yellow oxide and that too will sit in harmony with all of the 8 colours because they now share a commonality – yellow oxide.
